Why The UK Need Not Leave the EU

IN 1955, the Swedish government held a Referendum and 83% of those voting rejected its plan to switch cars from driving on the left to driving on the right

In 1963, the Swedish government passed the necessary legislation in Parliament to start the changeover

In 1967, the changeover was implemented

And there the matter rests. And the 83% Rest in Peace.

Dear Member of Parliament

Stop behaving like a headless chicken (you especially Mr Cameron)

The people have spoken with rather less confidence than those Swedish voters. Now, please will you say to them, Thank You very much for your Opinions which we have noted. The UK will remain part of the European Union. And we will try to do something about the problems you are having in Hartlepool. We will try to behave more like leaders and, yes, we realise that Nicola Sturgeon is showing us how to do that sort of thing.

  1. David Cameron is giving up, because - for once in his life – he can’t get everything his own way, but he won’t give up until October so that he can enjoy the benefits of office for a few more months without having to do anything much apart from getting the best seats at major sporting events throughout the summer.
